Presentation overview

On Thursday april 4th, 2019, eachh group will have an opportunity to share and present their project. The main goals underlying these presentations are the following:

  • work on your scientific communication skills

  • witness the work of your peers

  • reflect on the progress made through this course.

While the presentations are informal, here are some guidelines to help you prepare it.

  • Each group will perform a 3-4 minutes presentation, after which time for one or two questions/suggestions (from instructors or fellow students) will be given.

  • Presentations should include:

    1. an introductory part to present the relevance of the project (context, goal, …);

    2. a brief description of the applied methodology

    3. a highlight of the obtained results, including a critical review of their relevance.

  • Quality of the presentations will contribute to the overall project result. Main assessment criteria:

    1. respect of the time limitations

    2. clarity of the presentation and communication

  • We will need all presentations uploaded to canvas by 11am on Thursday

    • Make sure your slides are in pdf format

    • Make sure your group number is in the pdf file name

    • There will be a canvas assignment called “presentation slides” upload to that assignment

    • Aim for about 4 slides
